In terms of tracking macros, I have a pretty high daily protein goal. I’ve been hitting the weights hard over the last several months, and I need all of the protein I can get to support the muscle I am trying to gain. I like finding new and sneaky ways to get it in. One of my favorite things about tracking macros is that no foods are off limits, so if I want to sneak my protein into a dessert or treat, I totally can. I don’t know about you guys, but if I’m baking a cake, you better believe that I’m licking the spoon. My kids live for that too. Recently we whipped up a batch of this protein cake batter dip so that we could indulge that guilty pleasure without any of the guilt. With Valentine’s Day coming right up, I chose to go the festive route, using a strawberry cake mix for the pink color, but you could honestly use any color or flavor of cake batter you prefer. Whatever you choose, this recipe is super simple!
*For the record, you can omit the protein from this recipe and it is still great!
