It’s hard to believe that we’re going to be celebrating Thanksgiving in just a few short days. The holiday season always seems to arrive out of nowhere, and it’s inevitably packed full of hosted dinners, planned parties, and even the occasional casual last-minute get together. Though at times it can all get a bit stressful, for me, it still really is the most wonderful time of the year. If there is one thing that I have learned throughout the years, it’s that the key to surviving this busy time successfully, is by being prepared. Today I’m sharing some hassle-free entertaining tips to ensure that your holiday season is enjoyable and runs as smoothly as possible!
With Thanksgiving this Thursday, I have been in full-blown prep mode. This is generally the time that I like to be sure that our pantry and kitchen are stocked with everything we need to successfully put an amazing dinner on the table, or to entertain on a whim. The following items are great to have on hand for events like these!
Pantry Staples: Canned Goods, Sauces & Cooking Essentials
When your pantry is well-stocked, you’ll always be prepared to whip up something tasty. The New RAGÚ® Butter Parmesan Sauce is a great item to have on hand. Made with real butter and aged parmesan, it’s a sauce that the whole family will enjoy. It’s delicious on pasta, great as a dipping sauce, and a huge hit in this quick and easy Real Deal 3-Minutes Mac that makes for an awesome Thanksgiving side dish. Who doesn’t love mac and cheese?
Oils are a cooking essential that are a pantry must-have for sure. We cook with coconut oil often, and lately I’ve been loving Nutiva Squeezable Organic Virgin Coconut Oil and Nutiva Squeezable Organic Steam Refined Coconut Oil. The pouch packaging is a total game changer, and helps to lessen the mess when you have a million things going on in the kitchen. The Nutiva Squeezable Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is cold-pressed and provides a light coconut flavor, whereas the Nutiva Squeezable Organic Steam Refined Coconut Oil is steam refined for no coconut flavor. Both can be used for sautéing, baking, stir frying, or as a substitute for butter or vegetable oil.

I also always like to keep a wide variety of healthy snacks on hand. Peeled Snacks Chimichurri Baked Pea Crisps are a delicious option. Made from plant-based protein, they’re a crunchy and tasty organic and gluten-free snack that everyone will love!

A Collection of Cookbooks Is Great to Have
Cookbooks are one of my favorite things. They are such an amazing resource and inspiration when it comes to cooking and baking. The Joys of Baking Cookbook from Running Press is a charming and relatable cookbook full of achievable recipes and personal stories. Cooking and Baking have always been a form of therapy for me, and that’s exactly what this cookbook is all about. Samantha Seneviratne has created a go-to guide to baking based on emotions and feelings. Whether you’re happy, or going through a challenging time, The Joy of Baking explores the passion and pleasure of baking through all of life’s ups and downs.
