With 2 girls who were both born with heads full of dark hair, you better believe that I’m a sucker for hair accessories! Over the last few years we’ve come to discover, and love, a handful of shops that have become go-to’s whenever we’re on the hunt for new accessories! What I love the most, is that all of these shops are women-run businesses, and that each of them offers up different styles of headbands and/or bows, so we can always find just what we’re looking for when it comes to day-to-day bows, and bows for special occasions.
I didn’t discover Loopty Loo Bows until a few months before Lilah was born, but as soon as I did, I was hooked. Their bows come in the most gorgeous prints (including Rifle Paper Co. and Liberty of London) and colors. They offer nylon headbands and clips for their bows so they’re suitable for both newborns and little girls. Their new fall collection recently dropped and it’s perfection! Callie was kind enough to offer up a discount code for you guys. Use: KOZY15 for 15% off your order!
Loved By Sophia Claire has been a favorite of ours for a long time now. We used their pacifier clips when Theo was a babe, and we continue to use them now with Lilah. I love the simplicity of their dainty leather bows, and that they come in pretty much every color under the sun! They are perfect for everything from a newborn photo shoot to everyday wear.
I came across Megan and her shop Willow Crowns a few years ago. Megan is a fellow Mainer who now lives in Texas and she designs some of the prettiest bows, clips, and lace headbands. Recently she’s even added Lilly Pulitzer prints to her shop. I’ve loved watching her business grow, and adore her accessories on both of my girls!
Yet another business that started off as a mom-owned shop, Baby Bling’s headbands are awesome because they are one size fits all. Their wide variety of colors and prints work for newborns and adults, so you’ll never have to worry about sizing up. I usually buy mine at Nordstrom (hi, free shipping!), and love how soft and versatile these accessories are!
Do you have a favorite shop or place to buy headbands and bows? I always love to hear about new places, so send those recommendations my way!

My 10-month-old baby girl is completely bald and has a HUGE head (it’s like 18″ and I only know that from measuring and trying to see if different headbands from Etsy would fit…and most baby headbands are like 15″ and leave an indent on her head!) haha. Anyway, I’m thrilled to look up these brands and see if they have headbands that will fit!! 🙂
