I don’t know about your kids, but mine are obsessed with yogurt drops. I mean OBSESSED! They also love yogurt pouches, and they have been a go-to for us for awhile now, at breakfast time, for a healthy side with lunch, and as an after school snack.
A few weeks ago I shared our recipe for these yummy frozen yogurt banana pops, that used our favorite yogurt from Happy Family as one of the main ingredients. Well, today I’m back with another super simple recipe that my kids can’t get enough of, especially now that it’s finally starting to warm up around here… Frozen yogurt drops!
These yogurt drops could not be any easier to make, and they’re ready in just about an hour. If your kids don’t eat them right away, they can be stored in a freezer-safe bag to be snacked on anytime.
I used our favorite Happy Tot Whole Milk Yogurt pouches as the base for this recipe, because they are full of tons of good stuff like probiotics (for healthy tummies), vitamin D, and because they contain no added sugar. Plus they’re non-GMO and certified USDA organic. At around 70 calories and 3 grams of fat, one pouch makes about 32 nickel-sized drops, but I usually use a few pouches to make a big batch all at one time.
Here’s how we made ours!
Ingredients:
Happy Tot Whole Milk Yogurt pouches (in your child’s favorite flavors)
Rainbow colored nonpareil sprinkles (optional)
Supplies:
A large baking sheet
Parchment paper
Instructions:
- Line baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper.
- Using your Happy Tot Yogurt pouch, squeeze drops of yogurt about the size of a nickel onto the parchment paper, spacing about an inch apart.
- If desired, sprinkle nonpareils onto yogurt drops.
- Place baking sheet in the freezer for about an hour.
- Remove from freezer, place yogurt drops in a bowl, and watch your kids happily snack away!
You can find Happy Family’s new line of yogurts at your local Walmart, but be sure to check out this offer from Ibotta before you head there to stock up!
