It’s hard to believe that Easter is just a few weeks away. After the New Year, I feel like I kind of live holiday to holiday, until Spring finally decides to arrive, and Easter has always felt like the unofficial kick-off of the season to me. There may still be snow on the ground here, but I’m dreaming of tulips, egg hunts, and pretty pastel dresses anyway!
One of my favorite things about celebrating Easter, besides the mass and the decor, has always been the big ham dinner. We generally only indulge in a good ham once or twice a year, and when we do, I like to go all out! So, when the fine people from CUREMASTER RESERVEĀ® gave us the option to try one of their hams this year, I was totally on board. Perhaps it was the fact that they offer five amazing ham flavor options, to go along with their amazing glaze choices. I get a little too excited about things like this. It was tough to choose, but we decided to try the Vermont Maple flavored ham, paired with a honey dijon flavored glaze, and let me just tell you guys, not only did our house smell like Heaven while it cooked, this ham was INCREDIBLE! Without question, the best I’ve ever had. My husband took one bite and instantly uttered the words, “this ham is really, really good!”. It was juicy, smoky, sweet… mind blowing-ly perfect!
Now that your mouths are watering, you’re probably wondering how this all works…
First, you choose one of CUREMASTER RESERVESĀ® amazing, small batch, hams along with a glaze. This is for sure the hardest part. With glaze flavors like honey dijon, apple cider bourbon, and crunchy brown sugar, you might have trouble narrowing it down to one. This is totally okay, you can choose multiple flavors, if that’s what your heart desires. Next, the ham & glaze will arrive on your doorstep, frozen, in a box equipped with a cooler. Once you’ve brought it inside, you can let it thaw in your refrigerator, and then when you’re ready for Easter dinner, you simply pour yourself a large glass of wine (this part is optional, but I highly recommend it), remove the ham from it’s pretty packaging, and heat it according to the directions that come in the box. CUREMASTER RESERVEĀ® hams come pre-cut, so it couldn’t be easier! Once it is warm and coated in the incredible glaze, you simply move it to a platter, and park it on the table, where it will most definitely be the star of the show! Serve it along with your favorite sides, and you are in business!

Now I don’t know about you guys, but we almost always have leftover ham, and it would be a sin to let a ham this good go to waste. I like to think of creative ways to use the leftovers, and if you happen to be entertaining a crowd for the holiday (or even if you’re not), this breakfast sandwich casserole is the perfect way to savor that ham flavor all over again.
