When you grew up in the Northeast, you tend to take your winter gear pretty seriously. Planning ahead for the cooler months is the name of the game since you never know for certain when those first snowflakes are going to fall. It tends to be cold and damp here for several months on end, and having the proper footwear is essential.
Like most moms, these days I tend to think first about what my kids will need to be prepared for the cold, and I don’t like to skimp when it comes to quality. Keeping their little feet warm and dry is important to me. The boots that you see pictured above are our new favorites from See Kai Run, and in addition to being adorable, they are waterproof and built to tackle the elements.
Ironically, we actually experienced our first snowfall of the season here just a few days before Halloween. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to stick, and my kids were just begging to go out and play in it. So out came the boots, the coats, the mittens and the hats… If you have kids of your own, you know all too well that getting them bundled up for the cold is no easy task, so I am ALL about anything that makes that job easier.
Thanks to the brilliant design of See Kai Run’s boots, my two oldest were actually able to put them on with minimal assistance from me. This was huge!!! One of my favorite features of this line is that none of their shoes require tying. They go on easily, have velcro closures, and they actually stay on.
Ella has been rocking the Abby style, while Max has been sporting the Jack, and though I love them both so much for their cuteness factor alone, there are so many other reasons that See Kai Run has become one of my favorite footwear lines for my kids…
Children’s feet are constantly growing and changing, and See Kai Run makes it a point to study kid’s feet and take every detail that goes into creating a child’s shoe into consideration. Their shoes are specifically designed to promote healthy foot development. The soles are flexible and engineered for maximum mobility, and the shoes are designed to allow small feet the room to develop naturally.
When it comes to keeping my kid’s feet warm and dry throughout the winter, it helps to know that they are also wearing shoes that they are comfortable in and that are built to last. Bonus points for the fact that these styles are super cute too. If the ones that Ella is wearing came in my size, I would totally get a pair!
